Celebi 16/64 · Neo Revelation

Celebi is Pokédex #251, generation 2 (Johto). Celebi is a Basic Grass Pokémon with 50 HP. The card lists level 14.

Celebi sits at 16/64 in Neo Revelation, position 16 of 66. Before it is 15 Aerodactyl, and after it is 17 Entei. The set belongs to the Neo series. It was released on 21 September 2001. The printed size is 64. This checklist is longer, at 66 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Psychic Leaf lists 10+ damage. The cost is Grass, Grass. Flip a coin for each Energy attached to the Defending Pokémon. This attack does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each heads. Remove a number of damage counters from Celebi equal to the damage done to the Defending Pokémon (after applying Weakness and Resistance). If Celebi has fewer damage counters than that, remove all of them. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "When Celebi disappears deep in a forest, it is said to leave behind an egg it brought from the future."

Celebi (#251) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Celebi 50/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). Both list 50 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and Sumiyoshi Kizuki illustrated this one. 31 other cards of Celebi list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Sumiyoshi Kizuki. I count 212 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Neo Revelation set binder is where a full Neo Revelation set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Celebi can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
