Shiftry 14/101 · Hidden Legends

Hidden Legends is a set in the EX series. It was released on 1 June 2004. The printed size is 101. This checklist is longer, at 102 cards. Shiftry is 14/101, in position 14 of 102 on this checklist. Before it is 13 Pinsir, and after it is 15 Walrein. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Shiftry is a Stage 2 Darkness Pokémon with 110 HP. In the Pokédex this is Shiftry (#275), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Nuzleaf. In this catalog that name is Nuzleaf (#274).

Hisao Nakamura illustrated this card. The same name is on 71 other cards in the catalog.

Shiftry (#275) has 22 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Shiftry 12/100 in Sandstorm (2003). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Hisao Nakamura illustrated this one. 20 other cards of Shiftry list a different HP.

The attack Push Aside lists 30 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Look at your opponent's hand and choose 1 Basic Pokémon or Evolution card you find there. Your opponent puts it at the bottom of his or her deck. Supernatural Power is another attack lists 40+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. If you have the same number of cards in your hand as your opponent, this attack does 40 damage plus 40 more damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -30. Retreat cost is 2.

I keep a set binder for Hidden Legends, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Hidden Legends set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Shiftry can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
