Giratina 86/236 · Unified Minds

Giratina is Pokédex #487, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Giratina is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 130 HP.

Giratina sits at 86/236 in Unified Minds, position 87 of 261. Before it is 85 Azelf, and after it is 87 Cresselia. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 2 August 2019. The printed size is 236. This checklist is longer, at 261 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Dimension Breach is listed as Ability. When you play this Pokémon from your hand onto your Bench during your turn, you may discard a Special Energy from your opponent's Active Pokémon. The attack Fade to Black lists 70 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Confused. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "This Pokémon is said to live in a world on the reverse side of ours, where common knowledge is distorted and strange."

Giratina (#487) has 29 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2023. The earliest other card is Giratina LV.X DP38/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Giratina LV.X, while this one is Giratina. Both list 130 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Misa Tsutsui illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 1. 22 other cards of Giratina list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Misa Tsutsui. I count 94 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Unified Minds set binder is where a full Unified Minds set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Giratina can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. I still need this card.
