Mudsdale SM20/248 · SM Black Star Promos

Mudsdale is Pokédex #750, generation 7 (Alola). Mudsdale is a Stage 1 Fighting Pokémon with 140 HP. The card says it evolves from Mudbray. In this catalog that name is Mudbray (#749).

Mudsdale sits at SM20/248 in SM Black Star Promos, position 20 of 251. Before it is SM19 Oricorio, and after it is SM21 Drampa. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 3 February 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Enhanced Stomp lists 60+ damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. If this Pokémon has a Pokémon Tool card attached to it, this attack does 60 more damage. High Horsepower is another attack lists 180 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. This Pokémon does 40 damage to itself. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "It spits a mud that provides resistance to both wind and rain, so the walls of old houses were often coated with it."

Mudsdale (#750) has 7 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 6 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2025. The earliest other card is Mudsdale 76/145 in Guardians Rising (2017). Both list 140 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. 5 other cards of Mudsdale list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Mitsuhiro Arita. I count 721 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mudsdale can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
