Celebi SM224/248 · SM Black Star Promos

Celebi is Pokédex #251, generation 2 (Johto). Celebi is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 70 HP.

Celebi sits at SM224/248 in SM Black Star Promos, position 227 of 251. Before it is SM223 Terrakion, and after it is SM225 Victini. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 3 February 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Call for Greatness lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Search your deck for up to 3 Pokémon-GX with different names, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck. Psy Bolt is another attack lists 40 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "This Pokémon wanders across time. Grass and trees flourish in the forests in which it has appeared."

Celebi (#251) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Celebi 50/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and Mizue illustrated this one. 27 other cards of Celebi list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Mizue. I count 184 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Celebi can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
