Celebi VMAX 199/198 · Chilling Reign

Celebi is Pokédex #251, generation 2 (Johto). Celebi VMAX is a VMAX Grass Pokémon with 310 HP. The card says it evolves from Celebi V. In this catalog that name is Celebi (#251).

Celebi VMAX sits at 199/198 in Chilling Reign, position 199 of 233. Before it is 198 Siebold, and after it is 200 Blaziken VMAX. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 18 June 2021. The printed size is 198. This checklist is longer, at 233 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 198. The listed rarity is Rare Rainbow.

Curative Forest is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, you may heal 20 damage from each of your Grass Pokémon. The attack Max Plant lists 130 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Search your deck for up to 2 Pokémon, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: VMAX rule: When your Pokémon VMAX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards. The regulation mark is E.

Celebi (#251) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Celebi 50/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Celebi, while this one is Celebi VMAX. That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 310 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Rainbow. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and PLANETA Tsuji illustrated this one. 34 other cards of Celebi list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads PLANETA Tsuji. I count 81 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Chilling Reign set binder is where a full Chilling Reign set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Celebi can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mythical Pokémon, from Sword & Shield on and VMAX cards. I still need this card.
