Raichu BREAK 50/162 · BREAKthrough

Raichu is Pokédex #026, generation 1 (Kanto). Raichu BREAK is a BREAK Lightning Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Raichu. In this catalog that name is Raichu (#026).

Raichu BREAK sits at 50/162 in BREAKthrough, position 50 of 165. Before it is 49 Raichu, and after it is 51 Magnemite. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on 4 November 2015. The printed size is 162. This checklist is longer, at 165 cards. The listed rarity is Rare BREAK.

The attack Grand Bolt lists 170 damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless, Colorless. Discard all Energy attached to this Pokémon. The card text says: BREAK Evolution Rule: Raichu BREAK retains the attacks, Abilities, Weakness, Resistance, and Retreat Cost of its previous Evolution.

Raichu (#026) has 70 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 52 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Raichu 14/102 in Base (1999). That card is named Raichu, while this one is Raichu BREAK. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare BREAK. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 66 other cards of Raichu list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

BREAKthrough set binder is where a full BREAKthrough set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Raichu can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Pikachu's friends and BREAK Evolution. I still need this card.
