Xerneas-EX XY149/211 · XY Black Star Promos

Xerneas is Pokédex #716, generation 6 (Kalos). Xerneas-EX is a Basic EX Fairy Pokémon with 170 HP.

Xerneas-EX sits at XY149/211 in XY Black Star Promos, position 150 of 216. Before it is XY148 Shaymin-EX, and after it is XY150 Yveltal-EX. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on 12 October 2013. The printed size is 211. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Break Through lists 60 damage. The cost is Fairy, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 30 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) X Blast is another attack lists 140 damage. The cost is Fairy, Fairy, Colorless, Colorless. This Pokémon can't use X Blast during your next turn. Weakness is Metal ×2. Resistance is Darkness -20. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Xerneas (#716) has 22 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2013 to 2026. The earliest other card is Xerneas XY05/211 in XY Black Star Promos (2013). That card is named Xerneas, while this one is Xerneas-EX. That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 170 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Eske Yoshinob illustrated this one. 18 other cards of Xerneas list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Eske Yoshinob. I count 177 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

XY Black Star Promos set binder is where a full XY Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Xerneas can fill a slot in Generation 6 binder (Kalos). I still need this card.
