Celebi XY93/211 · XY Black Star Promos

Celebi is Pokédex #251, generation 2 (Johto). Celebi is a Basic Grass Pokémon with 70 HP.

Celebi sits at XY93/211 in XY Black Star Promos, position 94 of 216. Before it is XY92 Sableye, and after it is XY94 Trevenant. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on 12 October 2013. The printed size is 211. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

Leap Through Time is listed as Ability. When this Pokémon is Knocked Out, flip a coin. If heads, shuffle this Pokémon and all cards attached to it into your deck, and your opponent can't take any Prize cards for it. The attack Sparkle Motion lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Put 1 damage counter on each of your opponent's Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. θ Stop is the ancient trait on this card. Prevent all effects of your opponent's Pokémon's Abilities done to this Pokémon. The flavor text reads "It has the power to travel across time, but it is said to appear only in peaceful times."

Celebi (#251) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Celebi 50/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. 27 other cards of Celebi list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Shin Nagasawa. I count 303 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

XY Black Star Promos set binder is where a full XY Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Celebi can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
