Sigilyph 41/101 · Plasma Blast

Plasma Blast is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on August 14, 2013. The printed size is 101. This checklist is longer, at 105 cards. Sigilyph is 41/101, in position 41 of 105 on this checklist. Before it is 40 Musharna, and after it is 42 Solosis. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Sigilyph is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Sigilyph (#561), generation 5 (Unova).

Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this card. The same name is on 656 other cards in the catalog.

Sigilyph (#561) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Sigilyph 41/98 in Emerging Powers (2011). Both list 90 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare Holo. Midori Harada illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 11 other cards of Sigilyph list a different HP.

Toolbox is listed as Ability. This Pokémon may have up to 4 Pokémon Tool cards attached to it. (If this Pokémon loses this Ability, discard Pokémon Tool cards attached to this Pokémon until only 1 Pokémon Tool card remains.) The attack Cutting Wind lists 70 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "The guardians of an ancient city, they always fly the same route while keeping watch for invaders."

I keep a set binder for Plasma Blast, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Plasma Blast set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Sigilyph can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
