Chandelure 101/99 · Next Destinies

Next Destinies is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on February 8, 2012. The printed size is 99. This checklist is longer, at 103 cards. Chandelure is 101/99, in position 101 of 103 on this checklist. Before it is 100 Emboar, and after it is 102 Zoroark. The collector number is above the printed set size of 99. The listed rarity is Rare Secret.

Chandelure is a Stage 2 Psychic Pokémon with 130 HP. In the Pokédex this is Chandelure (#609), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Lampent. In this catalog that name is Lampent (#608).

5ban Graphics illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,629 other cards in the catalog.

Chandelure (#609) has 25 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Chandelure 60/101 in Noble Victories (2011). Both list 130 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Rare Secret. Naoyo Kimura illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 20 other cards of Chandelure list a different HP.

Cursed Shadow is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), if this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon, you may put 3 damage counters on your opponent's Pokémon in any way you like. The attack Eerie Glow lists 50 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Colorless. The Defending Pokémon is now Burned and Confused. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "This extremely rare Pokémon is a different color than usual. It is very hard to find."

I keep a set binder for Next Destinies, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Next Destinies set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Chandelure can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
