Emboar 100/99 · Next Destinies

Emboar is Pokédex #500, generation 5 (Unova). Emboar is a Stage 2 Fire Pokémon with 150 HP. The card says it evolves from Pignite. In this catalog that name is Pignite (#499).

Emboar sits at 100/99 in Next Destinies, position 100 of 103. Before it is 99 Regigigas-EX, and after it is 101 Chandelure. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on February 8, 2012. The printed size is 99. This checklist is longer, at 103 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 99. The listed rarity is Rare Secret.

Inferno Fandango is listed as Ability. As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may attach a Fire Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Pokémon. The attack Heat Crash lists 80 damage. The cost is Fire, Fire, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "This extremely rare Pokémon is a different color than usual. It is very hard to find."

Emboar (#500) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Emboar BW21/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). Both list 150 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Secret. 7 other cards of Emboar list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Next Destinies set binder is where a full Next Destinies set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Emboar can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
