Shaymin-EX 5/99 · Next Destinies

Shaymin is Pokédex #492, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Shaymin-EX is a Basic EX Grass Pokémon with 110 HP.

Shaymin-EX sits at 5/99 in Next Destinies, position 5 of 103. Before it is 4 Kricketune, and after it is 6 Pansage. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on February 8, 2012. The printed size is 99. This checklist is longer, at 103 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

The attack Synthesis lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Search your deck for a Grass Energy card and attach it to 1 of your Pokémon. Shuffle your deck afterward. Revenge Blast is another attack lists 30+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Does 30 more damage for each Prize card your opponent has taken. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Shaymin (#492) has 34 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 21 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Shaymin LV.X DP39/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Shaymin LV.X, while this one is Shaymin-EX. Both list 110 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. 26 other cards of Shaymin list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Shizurow. I count 79 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Next Destinies set binder is where a full Next Destinies set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Shaymin can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
