Slowking is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Slowking (#199), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Slowpoke. In this catalog that name is Slowpoke (#079).

Shin Nagasawa illustrated this card. The same name is on 303 other cards in the catalog.

Slowking (#199) has 25 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2025. The earliest other card is Slowking 14/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 25 other cards of Slowking list a different HP.

The attack Psy Bolt lists 20 damage. The cost is Psychic. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Hand Press is another attack lists 50+ damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. If you have more cards in your hand than your opponent, this attack does 30 more damage. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Being bitten by Shellder gave it intelligence comparable to that of award-winning scientists."

I keep a set binder for Dark Explorers, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Dark Explorers set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Slowking can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
