Sableye 62/108 · Dark Explorers

Sableye is Pokédex #302, generation 3 (Hoenn). Sableye is a Basic Darkness Pokémon with 70 HP.

Sableye sits at 62/108 in Dark Explorers, position 62 of 111. Before it is 61 Umbreon, and after it is 63 Darkrai-EX. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on May 9, 2012. The printed size is 108. This checklist is longer, at 111 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Confuse Ray lists 10 damage. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. Junk Hunt is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Darkness. Put 2 Item cards from your discard pile into your hand. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It hides in the darkness of caves. Its diet of gems has transformed its eyes into gemstones."

Sableye (#302) has 31 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 26 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Sableye 10/100 in Sandstorm (2003). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and kawayoo illustrated this one. 20 other cards of Sableye list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads kawayoo. I count 209 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dark Explorers set binder is where a full Dark Explorers set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Sableye can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
