Bisharp 73/116 · Plasma Freeze

Bisharp is Pokédex #625, generation 5 (Unova). Bisharp is a Stage 1 Team Plasma Darkness Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Pawniard. In this catalog that name is Pawniard (#624).

Bisharp sits at 73/116 in Plasma Freeze, position 73 of 122. Before it is 72 Pawniard, and after it is 74 Bisharp. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on May 8, 2013. The printed size is 116. This checklist is longer, at 122 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Slash lists 40 damage. The cost is Colorless. Dragon Slayer is another attack lists 80+ damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness, Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon is a Dragon Pokémon, this attack does 40 more damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "This pitiless Pokémon commands a group of Pawniard to hound prey into immobility. It then moves in to finish the prey off."

Bisharp (#625) has 21 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Bisharp 76/101 in Noble Victories (2011). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 17 other cards of Bisharp list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Plasma Freeze set binder is where a full Plasma Freeze set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Bisharp can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
