Bisharp 74/116 · Plasma Freeze

Plasma Freeze is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on May 8, 2013. The printed size is 116. This checklist is longer, at 122 cards. Bisharp is 74/116, in position 74 of 122 on this checklist. Before it is 73 Bisharp, and after it is 75 Deino. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Bisharp is a Stage 1 Team Plasma Darkness Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Bisharp (#625), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Pawniard. In this catalog that name is Pawniard (#624).

5ban Graphics illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,629 other cards in the catalog.

Bisharp (#625) has 21 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Bisharp 76/101 in Noble Victories (2011). Both list 90 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 17 other cards of Bisharp list a different HP.

The attack Cut Down lists 30 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, discard an Energy attached to the Defending Pokémon. Slicing Blade is another attack lists 70 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "This pitiless Pokémon commands a group of Pawniard to hound prey into immobility. It then moves in to finish the prey off."

I keep a set binder for Plasma Freeze, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Plasma Freeze set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Bisharp can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
