Drifblim BW64/101 · BW Black Star Promos

Drifblim is Pokédex #426, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Drifblim is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Drifloon. In this catalog that name is Drifloon (#425).

Drifblim sits at BW64/101 in BW Black Star Promos, position 64 of 101. Before it is BW63 White Kyurem-EX, and after it is BW65 Jigglypuff. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on March 1, 2011. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Shadow Steal lists 50× damage. The cost is Colorless. Does 50 damage times the number of Special Energy cards in your opponent's discard pile. Plentiful Placement is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Put 4 damage counters on 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "At dusk, swarms of them are carried aloft on winds. When noticed, they suddenly vanish."

Drifblim (#426) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2024. The earliest other card is Drifblim 24/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Promo. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. 13 other cards of Drifblim list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Naoki Saito. I count 270 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

BW Black Star Promos set binder is where a full BW Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Drifblim can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
