Drifblim DP34/56 · DP Black Star Promos

DP Black Star Promos is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on May 1, 2007. The printed size is 56, and the checklist is the same length. Drifblim is DP34/56, in position 34 of 56 on this checklist. Before it is DP33 Dusknoir, and after it is DP35 Porygon-Z. The listed rarity is Promo.

Drifblim is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 40. In the Pokédex this is Drifblim (#426), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Drifloon. In this catalog that name is Drifloon (#425).

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.

Drifblim (#426) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2024. The earliest other card is Drifblim 24/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). Both list 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Promo. 14 other cards of Drifblim list a different HP.

The attack Wind Wave lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Search your discard pile for up to 5 in any combination of Pokémon and Supporter cards. Show them to your opponent and shuffle them into your deck. Explosive Smoke is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Psychic. Does 10 damage to each Benched Pokémon (both yours and your opponent's). (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Darkness +20. Resistance is Colorless -20. The flavor text reads "It's drowzy in daytime, but flies off in the evening in big groups. No one knows where they go."

I keep a set binder for DP Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the DP Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Drifblim can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
