Darkrai DP24/56 · DP Black Star Promos

Darkrai is Pokédex #491, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Darkrai is a Basic Darkness Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 50.

Darkrai sits at DP24/56 in DP Black Star Promos, position 24 of 56. Before it is DP23 Glameow, and after it is DP25 Tropical Wind. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on May 1, 2007. The printed size is 56, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Spacial Rend lists 10 damage. The cost is Water. Search your deck for a Stadium card, show it to your opponent, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. If there is any Stadium card in play, discard it. Roar of Time is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Metal, Metal, Metal. Search your discard pile for 3 Pokémon, show them to your opponent, and put them on top of your deck. Shuffle your deck afterward. (If you don't have 3 Pokémon in your discard pile, this attack does nothing.) Weakness is Fighting +20. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: Enigma Berry: If Darkrai is damaged by an attack from your opponent's Fighting Pokémon, remove 4 damage counters at the end of that turn.

Darkrai (#491) has 40 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Darkrai LV.X DP19/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Darkrai LV.X, while this one is Darkrai. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 38 other cards of Darkrai list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

DP Black Star Promos set binder is where a full DP Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Darkrai can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
