Darkrai G 3/111 · Rising Rivals

Rising Rivals is a set in the Platinum series. It was released on May 16, 2009. The printed size is 111. This checklist is longer, at 120 cards. Darkrai G is 3/111, in position 3 of 120 on this checklist. Before it is 2 Bastiodon GL, and after it is 4 Floatzel GL. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Darkrai G is a Basic SP Darkness Pokémon with 90 HP. The card lists level 58. In the Pokédex this is Darkrai (#491), generation 4 (Sinnoh).

Makoto Imai illustrated this card. The same name is on 11 other cards in the catalog.

Darkrai (#491) has 40 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Darkrai LV.X DP19/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Darkrai LV.X, while this one is Darkrai G. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Makoto Imai illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 39 other cards of Darkrai list a different HP.

Eerie Aura is listed as Poké-Body. Put 1 damage counter on each of your opponent's Pokémon that remains Asleep between turns. The attack Darkness Sleep lists 50 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless, Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon already has any damage counters on it, that Pokémon is now Asleep. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 2.

I keep a set binder for Rising Rivals, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Rising Rivals set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Darkrai can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
