Carnivine G DP42/56 · DP Black Star Promos

Carnivine is Pokédex #455, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Carnivine G is a Basic SP Grass Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 43.

Carnivine G sits at DP42/56 in DP Black Star Promos, position 42 of 56. Before it is DP41 Toxicroak G, and after it is DP43 Probopass G. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on May 1, 2007. The printed size is 56, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Power Whip lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 10 damage for each Energy attached to Carnivine G to that Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Grass Knot is another attack lists 20+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Does 20 damage plus 10 more damage for each Colorless Energy in the Defending Pokémon's Retreat Cost (after applying effects to the Retreat Cost). Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Water -20. Retreat cost is 1.

Carnivine (#455) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Carnivine 21/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card is named Carnivine, while this one is Carnivine G. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Promo. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Makoto Imai illustrated this one. 10 other cards of Carnivine list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Makoto Imai. I count 11 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

DP Black Star Promos set binder is where a full DP Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Carnivine can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
