Parasect 27/147 · Aquapolis

Parasect is Pokédex #047, generation 1 (Kanto). Parasect is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 70 HP. The card says it evolves from Paras. In this catalog that name is Paras (#046).

Parasect sits at 27/147 in Aquapolis, position 27 of 182. Before it is 26 Octillery, and after it is 28 Porygon2. The set belongs to the E-Card series. It was released on January 15, 2003. The printed size is 147. This checklist is longer, at 182 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Sleep Inducer lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Choose 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon and switch the Defending Pokémon with it. The new Defending Pokémon is now Asleep. Rapture Pollen is another attack lists 20 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Asleep. If tails, remove 2 damage counters from Parasect. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

Parasect (#047) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Parasect 41/64 in Jungle (1999). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Masako Yamashita illustrated this one. 15 other cards of Parasect list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Masako Yamashita. I count 23 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Aquapolis set binder is where a full Aquapolis set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Parasect can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
