Parasect 38/147 · Supreme Victors

Parasect is Pokédex #047, generation 1 (Kanto). Parasect is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 33. The card says it evolves from Paras. In this catalog that name is Paras (#046).

Parasect sits at 38/147 in Supreme Victors, position 38 of 153. Before it is 37 Mr. Mime, and after it is 39 Primeape. The set belongs to the Platinum series. It was released on August 19, 2009. The printed size is 147. This checklist is longer, at 153 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Nutritional Support lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Search your deck for up to 2 Grass Energy cards and attach them to any of your Pokémon in any way you like. Shuffle your deck afterward. Hibernation Spore is another attack lists 40 damage. The cost is Grass, Grass, Colorless. The Defending Pokémon is now Asleep. Flip 2 coins instead of 1 between turns. If either of them is tails, the Defending Pokémon is still Asleep. Weakness is Fire +20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "A mushroom grown larger than the host's body controls Parasect. It scatters poisonous spores."

Parasect (#047) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Parasect 41/64 in Jungle (1999). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 16 other cards of Parasect list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kagemaru Himeno. I count 656 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Supreme Victors set binder is where a full Supreme Victors set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Parasect can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
