Legend Maker is a set in the EX series. It was released on February 1, 2006. The printed size is 92. This checklist is longer, at 93 cards. Banette ex is 85/92, in position 85 of 93 on this checklist. Before it is 84 Armaldo ex, and after it is 86 Dustox ex. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.
Banette ex is a Stage 1 ex Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Banette (#354), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Shuppet. In this catalog that name is Shuppet (#353).
Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.
Banette (#354) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 17 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2004 to 2026. The earliest other card is Banette 1/101 in Hidden Legends (2004). That card is named Banette, while this one is Banette ex. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Midori Harada illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. 16 other cards of Banette list a different HP.
Shady Move is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), if Banette ex is your Active Pokémon, you may move 1 damage counter from either player's Pokémon to another Pokémon (yours or your opponent's). This power can't be used if Banette ex is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Shadow Chant lists 30+ damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Does 30 damage plus 10 more damage for each Supporter card in your discard pile. You can't add more than 60 damage in this way. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
I keep a set binder for Legend Maker, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Legend Maker set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Banette can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
