Medicham 25/100 · Crystal Guardians

Crystal Guardians is a set in the EX series. It was released on August 1, 2006. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. Medicham is 25/100, in position 25 of 100 on this checklist. Before it is 24 Marshtomp, and after it is 26 Pelipper δ. The listed rarity is Rare.

Medicham is a Stage 1 Fighting Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Medicham (#308), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Meditite. In this catalog that name is Meditite (#307).

Midori Harada illustrated this card. The same name is on 352 other cards in the catalog.

Medicham (#308) has 24 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 17 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2004 to 2026. The earliest other card is Medicham 10/101 in Hidden Legends (2004). Both list 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Midori Harada illustrated this one. 21 other cards of Medicham list a different HP.

Dual Armor is listed as Poké-Body. As long as Medicham has any Psychic Energy cards attached to it, Medicham is both Psychic and Fighting type. The attack Psyshock lists 20 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Sky Uppercut is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless, Colorless. This attack's damage isn't affected by Resistance. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

I keep a set binder for Crystal Guardians, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Crystal Guardians set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Medicham can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
