Jirachi ex 94/100 · Crystal Guardians

Crystal Guardians is a set in the EX series. It was released on August 1, 2006. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. Jirachi ex is 94/100, in position 94 of 100 on this checklist. Before it is 93 Groudon ex, and after it is 95 Kyogre ex. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

Jirachi ex is a Basic ex Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Jirachi (#385), generation 3 (Hoenn).

Shizurow illustrated this card. The same name is on 79 other cards in the catalog.

Jirachi (#385) has 29 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Jirachi 21/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card is named Jirachi, while this one is Jirachi ex. That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Shizurow illustrated this one. 26 other cards of Jirachi list a different HP.

Star Light is listed as Poké-Body. As long as your opponent has any Pokémon-ex or Stage 2 Evolved Pokémon in play, Jirachi ex pays Colorless less Energy to use Shield Beam or Super Psy Bolt. The attack Shield Beam lists 30 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. During your opponent's next turn, your opponent can't use any Poké-Powers on his or her Pokémon. Super Psy Bolt is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for Crystal Guardians, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Crystal Guardians set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Jirachi can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
