Bellossom 16/101 · Hidden Legends

Hidden Legends is a set in the EX series. It was released on June 1, 2004. The printed size is 101. This checklist is longer, at 102 cards. Bellossom is 16/101, in position 16 of 102 on this checklist. Before it is 15 Walrein, and after it is 17 Chimecho. The listed rarity is Rare.

Bellossom is a Stage 2 Grass Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Bellossom (#182), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Gloom. In this catalog that name is Gloom (#044).

Yuka Morii illustrated this card. The same name is on 204 other cards in the catalog.

Bellossom (#182) has 11 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2023. The earliest other card is Bellossom 3/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Yuka Morii illustrated this one. 9 other cards of Bellossom list a different HP.

Heal Dance is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may remove 2 damage counters from 1 of your Pokémon. You can't use more than 1 Heal Dance Poké-Power each turn. This power can't be used if Bellossom is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Miracle Powder lists 10 damage. The cost is Grass. Flip a coin. If heads, choose 1 Special Condition. The Defending Pokémon is now affected by that Special Condition. Solarbeam is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Water -30. Retreat cost is 2.

I keep a set binder for Hidden Legends, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Hidden Legends set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Bellossom can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Yuka Morii clay cards. I still need this card.
