Elekid 21/102 · HS—Triumphant

Elekid is Pokédex #239, generation 2 (Johto). Elekid is a Basic Lightning Pokémon with 30 HP. The card lists Electabuzz, Electabuzz (#125) under evolves to.

Elekid sits at 21/102 in HS—Triumphant, position 21 of 103. Before it is 20 Electivire, and after it is 22 Golduck. The set belongs to the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on November 3, 2010. The printed size is 102. This checklist is longer, at 103 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

Sweet Sleeping Face is listed as Poké-Body. As long as Elekid is Asleep, prevent all damage done to Elekid by attacks. The attack Sparking Ball lists no damage number. Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 20 damage to that Pokémon. This attack's damage isn't affected by Weakness or Resistance. Elekid is now Asleep. The flavor text reads "Even in the most vicious storm, this Pokémon plays happily if thunder rumbles in the sky."

Elekid (#239) has 7 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 7 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2023. The earliest other card is Elekid 22/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). Both list 30 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Miki Tanaka illustrated that card, and TOKIYA illustrated this one. 4 other cards of Elekid list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads TOKIYA. I count 93 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

HS—Triumphant set binder is where a full HS—Triumphant set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Elekid can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Baby Pokémon. I still need this card.
