Elekid 9/147 · Aquapolis

Elekid is Pokédex #239, generation 2 (Johto). Elekid is a Baby Lightning Pokémon with 30 HP. The card lists Electabuzz, Electabuzz (#125) under evolves to.

Elekid sits at 9/147 in Aquapolis, position 9 of 182. Before it is 8 Electrode, and after it is 10 Entei. The set belongs to the E-Card series. It was released on January 15, 2003. The printed size is 147. This checklist is longer, at 182 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Energy Kick lists no damage number. The cost is Lightning. Flip a coin. If heads, choose an Energy card attached to the Defending Pokémon. Your opponent moves that card to 1 of his or her other Pokémon. (If your opponent has no Benched Pokémon, this attack does nothing.) Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: If your Active Pokémon is a Baby Pokémon and your opponent announces an attack, your opponent flips a coin (before doing anything else). If tails, your opponent's turn ends.

Elekid (#239) has 7 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 7 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2023. The earliest other card is Elekid 22/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). Both list 30 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Miki Tanaka illustrated that card, and Hikaru Koike illustrated this one. 4 other cards of Elekid list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Hikaru Koike. I count 46 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Aquapolis set binder is where a full Aquapolis set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Elekid can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Baby Pokémon. I still need this card.
