Golduck 40/217 · Ascended Heroes

Ascended Heroes is a set in the Mega Evolution series. It was released on January 30, 2026. The printed size is 217. This checklist is longer, at 295 cards. Golduck is 40/217, in position 40 of 295 on this checklist. Before it is 39 Psyduck, and after it is 41 Totodile. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Golduck is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Golduck (#055), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Psyduck. In this catalog that name is Psyduck (#054).

Jiro Sasumo illustrated this card. The same name is on 29 other cards in the catalog.

Golduck (#055) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2023. The earliest other card is Golduck 35/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Jiro Sasumo illustrated this one. 22 other cards of Golduck list a different HP.

Damp is listed as Ability. Pokémon in play (both yours and your opponent's) lose any Ability that requires the Pokémon using it to Knock Out itself. The attack Hydro Pump lists 60+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 20 more damage for each Water Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "When it swims at full speed using its long, webbed limbs, its forehead somehow begins to glow." The regulation mark is I.

I keep a set binder for Ascended Heroes, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Ascended Heroes set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Golduck can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
