Thievul 92/84 · Pitch Black

Thievul is Pokédex #828, generation 8 (Galar). Thievul is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Nickit. In this catalog that name is Nickit (#827).

Thievul sits at 92/84 in Pitch Black, position 92 of 120. Before it is 91 Dhelmise, and after it is 93 Bastiodon. The set belongs to the Mega Evolution series. It was released on July 17, 2026. The printed size is 84. This checklist is longer, at 120 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 84. The listed rarity is Illustration Rare.

The attack Skill Thief lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. If you have no cards in your hand, choose an attack from 1 of your opponent's Pokémon in play and use it as this attack. Sharp Fang is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It secretly marks potential targets with a scent. By following the scent, it stalks its targets and steals from them when they least expect it." The regulation mark is J.

Thievul (#828) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2020 to 2026. The earliest other card is Thievul 126/202 in Sword & Shield (2020). Both list 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Illustration Rare. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Jerky illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is J. 2 other cards of Thievul list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Jerky. I count 33 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Pitch Black set binder is where a full Pitch Black set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Thievul can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). I still need this card.
