Vespiquen E4 35/111 · Rising Rivals

Vespiquen is Pokédex #416, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Vespiquen E4 is a Basic SP Grass Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 50.

Vespiquen E4 sits at 35/111 in Rising Rivals, position 35 of 120. Before it is 34 Vaporeon, and after it is 36 Walrein. The set belongs to the Platinum series. It was released on May 16, 2009. The printed size is 111. This checklist is longer, at 120 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

Royal Gain is listed as Poké-Body. When you attach a Grass Energy card from your hand to Vespiquen E4, remove 1 damage counter from Vespiquen E4. The attack Leaf Needle lists 30+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin for each Grass Energy attached to Vespiquen E4. This attack does 30 damage plus 20 more damage for each heads. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 1.

Vespiquen (#416) has 11 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2023. The earliest other card is Vespiquen 39/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card is named Vespiquen, while this one is Vespiquen E4. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 1. 11 other cards of Vespiquen list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Rising Rivals set binder is where a full Rising Rivals set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Vespiquen can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
