Leafeon 45/111 · Rising Rivals

Rising Rivals is a set in the Platinum series. It was released on May 16, 2009. The printed size is 111. This checklist is longer, at 120 cards. Leafeon is 45/111, in position 45 of 120 on this checklist. Before it is 44 Lairon, and after it is 46 Machamp GL. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Leafeon is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 90 HP. The card lists level 49. In the Pokédex this is Leafeon (#470), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

Suwama Chiaki illustrated this card. The same name is on 102 other cards in the catalog.

Leafeon (#470) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2008 to 2025. The earliest other card is Leafeon 7/100 in Majestic Dawn (2008). Both list 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Suwama Chiaki illustrated this one. 26 other cards of Leafeon list a different HP.

Energy Refresh is listed as Poké-Body. As long as Leafeon is your Active Pokémon, whenever you attach an Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Pokémon, remove 2 damage counters from that Pokémon. The attack Plus Energy lists 40 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Attach a basic Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Pokémon. Soothing Scent is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. The Defending Pokémon is now Asleep. Weakness is Fire +20. Resistance is Water -20. Retreat cost is 2.

I keep a set binder for Rising Rivals, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Rising Rivals set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Leafeon can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
