Regigigas 4/17 · POP Series 9

Regigigas is Pokédex #486, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Regigigas is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 100 HP. The card lists level 42.

Regigigas sits at 4/17 in POP Series 9, position 4 of 17. Before it is 3 Raichu, and after it is 5 Rotom. The set belongs to the POP series. It was released on March 1, 2009. The printed size is 17, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Body Slam lists 20 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Double Stomp is another attack lists 50+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Flip 2 coins. This attack does 50 damage plus 20 more damage for each heads. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "There is an enduring legend that states this Pokémon towed continents with ropes."

Regigigas (#486) has 20 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Regigigas LV.X DP30/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Regigigas LV.X, while this one is Regigigas. That card lists 150 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Kent Kanetsuna illustrated this one. 16 other cards of Regigigas list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kent Kanetsuna. I count 74 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

POP Series 9 set binder is where a full POP Series 9 set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Regigigas can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
