Whimsicott 148/236 · Cosmic Eclipse

Whimsicott is Pokédex #547, generation 5 (Unova). Whimsicott is a Stage 1 Fairy Pokémon with 70 HP. The card says it evolves from Cottonee. In this catalog that name is Cottonee (#546).

Whimsicott sits at 148/236 in Cosmic Eclipse, position 149 of 272. Before it is 147 Cottonee, and after it is 149 Flabébé. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 1, 2019. The printed size is 236. This checklist is longer, at 272 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Sneaky Pocket lists no damage number. The cost is Fairy. Put a card from your hand in the Lost Zone. If you do, draw 3 cards. Lost March is another attack lists 20× damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 20 damage for each of your Pokémon, except p (Prism Star) Pokémon, in the Lost Zone. Weakness is Metal ×2. Resistance is Darkness -20. The flavor text reads "This nuisance sneaks into people's homes, where it hides important things and scatters cotton all over the place."

Whimsicott (#547) has 22 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Whimsicott 11/98 in Emerging Powers (2011). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. sui illustrated that card, and Yumi illustrated this one. 21 other cards of Whimsicott list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Yumi. I count 24 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Cosmic Eclipse set binder is where a full Cosmic Eclipse set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Whimsicott can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
