Porygon-Z 105a/147 · Burning Shadows

Porygon-Z is Pokédex #474, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Porygon-Z is a Stage 2 Colorless Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Porygon2. In this catalog that name is Porygon2 (#233).

Porygon-Z sits at 105a/147 in Burning Shadows, position 110 of 177. Before it is 105 Porygon-Z, and after it is 106 Hoothoot. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on August 5, 2017. The printed size is 147. This checklist is longer, at 177 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Initialize is listed as Ability. When you play this Pokémon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon during your turn, you may devolve each of your opponent's evolved Pokémon by putting the highest Stage Evolution card on it into your opponent's hand. The attack Zap Cannon lists 80 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This Pokémon can't use Zap Cannon during your next turn. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "In order to create a more advanced Pokémon, an additional program was installed, but apparently it contained a defect that makes it move oddly."

Porygon-Z (#474) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Porygon-Z DP35/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. 10 other cards of Porygon-Z list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Shin Nagasawa. I count 303 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Burning Shadows set binder is where a full Burning Shadows set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Porygon-Z can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
