Whimsicott 15/162 · Temporal Forces

Whimsicott is Pokédex #547, generation 5 (Unova). Whimsicott is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Cottonee. In this catalog that name is Cottonee (#546).

Whimsicott sits at 15/162 in Temporal Forces, position 15 of 218. Before it is 14 Cottonee, and after it is 16 Deerling. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on March 22, 2024. The printed size is 162. This checklist is longer, at 218 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

Wafting Heal is listed as Ability. When you play this Pokémon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon during your turn, you may heal all damage from your Active Grass Pokémon. If you healed any damage in this way, discard all Energy from that Pokémon. The attack Seed Bomb lists 40 damage. The cost is Grass. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It scatters cotton all over the place as a prank. If it gets wet, it'll become too heavy to move and have no choice but to answer for its mischief." The regulation mark is H.

Whimsicott (#547) has 22 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Whimsicott 11/98 in Emerging Powers (2011). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. sui illustrated that card, and Mizue illustrated this one. 20 other cards of Whimsicott list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Mizue. I count 184 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Temporal Forces set binder is where a full Temporal Forces set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Whimsicott can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
