Illumise 10/167 · Twilight Masquerade

Illumise is Pokédex #314, generation 3 (Hoenn). Illumise is a Basic Grass Pokémon with 70 HP.

Illumise sits at 10/167 in Twilight Masquerade, position 10 of 226. Before it is 9 Volbeat, and after it is 11 Leafeon. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on May 24, 2024. The printed size is 167. This checklist is longer, at 226 cards. The listed rarity is Common.

The attack Slowing Perfume lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. You can use this attack only if you go second, and only during your first turn. Shuffle 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon and all attached cards into their deck. Glide is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It guides Volbeat to draw signs in the night sky. There are scholars who research the meaning of these signs." The regulation mark is H.

Illumise (#314) has 9 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Illumise 38/100 in Sandstorm (2003). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Common. Kyoko Umemoto illustrated that card, and Orca illustrated this one. 4 other cards of Illumise list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Orca. I count 9 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Twilight Masquerade set binder is where a full Twilight Masquerade set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Illumise can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Bug Pokémon and Night and moon Pokémon. I still need this card.
