Illumise 38/100 · Sandstorm

Illumise is Pokédex #314, generation 3 (Hoenn). Illumise is a Basic Grass Pokémon with 60 HP.

Illumise sits at 38/100 in Sandstorm, position 38 of 100. Before it is 37 Fearow, and after it is 39 Kabuto. The set belongs to the EX series. It was released on September 18, 2003. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Glowing Screen is listed as Poké-Body. As long as Volbeat is in play, any damage done to Illumise by attacks from Fighting Pokémon and Darkness Pokémon is reduced by 30. You can't reduce more than 30 damage even if there is more than 1 Volbeat in play. The attack Chaotic Noise lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. If tails, the Defending Pokémon is now Asleep. Pester is another attack lists 20+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon is affected by a Special Condition, this attack does 20 damage plus 20 more damage. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

Illumise (#314) has 9 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2005 to 2026. The earliest other card is Illumise 32/106 in Emerald (2005). Both list 60 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Kyoko Umemoto illustrated this one. 7 other cards of Illumise list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kyoko Umemoto. I count 174 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Sandstorm set binder is where a full Sandstorm set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Illumise can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
