Illumise 9/146 · XY

XY is a set in the XY series. It was released on February 5, 2014. The printed size is 146, and the checklist is the same length. Illumise is 9/146, in position 9 of 146 on this checklist. Before it is 8 Volbeat, and after it is 10 Pansage. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Illumise is a Basic Grass Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Illumise (#314), generation 3 (Hoenn).

Kanako Eo illustrated this card. The same name is on 99 other cards in the catalog.

Illumise (#314) has 9 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Illumise 38/100 in Sandstorm (2003). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Kyoko Umemoto illustrated that card, and Kanako Eo illustrated this one. 4 other cards of Illumise list a different HP.

The attack Pheromotion lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Search your deck for a Grass Pokémon, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. Quick Attack is another attack lists 20+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 20 more damage. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Its fragrance attracts a swarm of Volbeat, so they draw over 200 patterns in the night sky."

I keep a set binder for XY, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the XY set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Illumise can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
