Slowking 58/142 · Stellar Crown

Stellar Crown is a set in the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on September 13, 2024. The printed size is 142. This checklist is longer, at 175 cards. Slowking is 58/142, in position 58 of 175 on this checklist. Before it is 57 Slowpoke, and after it is 59 Mewtwo. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Slowking is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Slowking (#199), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Slowpoke. In this catalog that name is Slowpoke (#079).

Slowking (#199) has 25 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2025. The earliest other card is Slowking 14/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. 22 other cards of Slowking list a different HP.

The attack Seek Inspiration lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Discard the top card of your deck, and if that card is a Pokémon that doesn't have a Rule Box, choose 1 of its attacks and use it as this attack. (Pokémon ex, Pokémon V, etc. have Rule Boxes.) Super Psy Bolt is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Colorless. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 3. The regulation mark is H.

I keep a set binder for Stellar Crown, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Stellar Crown set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Slowking can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
