Whimsicott 76/185 · Vivid Voltage

Whimsicott is Pokédex #547, generation 5 (Unova). Whimsicott is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Cottonee. In this catalog that name is Cottonee (#546).

Whimsicott sits at 76/185 in Vivid Voltage, position 76 of 203. Before it is 75 Cottonee, and after it is 77 Dedenne. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 13, 2020. The printed size is 185. This checklist is longer, at 203 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Triple Draw lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Draw 3 cards. Flying Fury is another attack lists 10+ damage. The cost is Psychic. Before doing damage, you may discard any number of Pokémon Tools from your Pokémon. This attack does 40 more damage for each card you discarded in this way. Weakness is Metal ×2. The flavor text reads "It scatters cotton all over the place as a prank. If it gets wet, it'll become too heavy to move and have no choice but to answer for its mischief." The regulation mark is D.

Whimsicott (#547) has 22 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Whimsicott 11/98 in Emerging Powers (2011). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. sui illustrated that card, and Naoyo Kimura illustrated this one. 20 other cards of Whimsicott list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Naoyo Kimura. I count 256 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Vivid Voltage set binder is where a full Vivid Voltage set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Whimsicott can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
