Wigglytuff 90/146 · XY

XY is a set in the XY series. It was released on February 5, 2014. The printed size is 146, and the checklist is the same length. Wigglytuff is 90/146, in position 90 of 146 on this checklist. Before it is 89 Wigglytuff, and after it is 91 Mr. Mime. The listed rarity is Rare.

Wigglytuff is a Stage 1 Fairy Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Wigglytuff (#040), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Jigglypuff. In this catalog that name is Jigglypuff (#039).

Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this card. The same name is on 656 other cards in the catalog.

Wigglytuff (#040) has 27 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Wigglytuff 16/64 in Jungle (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 24 other cards of Wigglytuff list a different HP.

The attack Balloon Barrage lists 20× damage. The cost is Colorless. This attack does 20 damage times the amount of Energy attached to this Pokémon. Double-Edge is another attack lists 90 damage. The cost is Fairy, Fairy, Colorless. This Pokémon does 10 damage to itself. Weakness is Metal ×2. Resistance is Darkness -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Their fur feels so good that if two of them snuggle together, they won't want to be separated."

I keep a set binder for XY, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the XY set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Wigglytuff can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
