Lapras 26/99 · Next Destinies

Next Destinies is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on 8 February 2012. The printed size is 99. This checklist is longer, at 103 cards. Lapras is 26/99, in position 26 of 103 on this checklist. Before it is 25 Lapras, and after it is 27 Articuno. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Lapras is a Basic Water Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Lapras (#131), generation 1 (Kanto).

Mizue illustrated this card. The same name is on 184 other cards in the catalog.

Lapras (#131) has 49 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 37 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lapras 10/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Mizue illustrated this one. 47 other cards of Lapras list a different HP.

The attack Water Arrow lists no damage number. The cost is Water, Colorless. This attack does 20 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Surf is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It loves crossing the sea with people and Pokémon on its back. It understands human speech."

I keep a set binder for Next Destinies, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Next Destinies set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lapras can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
