Shiinotic 98/147 · Burning Shadows

Shiinotic is Pokédex #756, generation 7 (Alola). Shiinotic is a Stage 1 Fairy Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Morelull. In this catalog that name is Morelull (#755).

Shiinotic sits at 98/147 in Burning Shadows, position 102 of 177. Before it is 97 Morelull, and after it is 99 Noivern-GX. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 5 August 2017. The printed size is 147. This checklist is longer, at 177 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Strength Sap lists 30 damage. The cost is Fairy, Colorless. Heal from this Pokémon 30 damage times the amount of Energy attached to your opponent's Active Pokémon. Sleep Pulse is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Fairy, Colorless, Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Asleep. Weakness is Metal ×2. Resistance is Darkness -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Forests where Shiinotic live are treacherous to enter at night. People confused by its strange lights can never find their way home again."

Shiinotic (#756) has 7 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 6 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2024. The earliest other card is Shiinotic 17/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). Both list 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Mizue illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. 3 other cards of Shiinotic list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Naoki Saito. I count 270 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Burning Shadows set binder is where a full Burning Shadows set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Shiinotic can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Nap time. I still need this card.
