Shiinotic 93/156 · Ultra Prism

Ultra Prism is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 2 February 2018. The printed size is 156. This checklist is longer, at 178 cards. Shiinotic is 93/156, in position 93 of 178 on this checklist. Before it is 92 Morelull, and after it is 94 Tapu Lele. The listed rarity is Rare.

Shiinotic is a Stage 1 Fairy Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Shiinotic (#756), generation 7 (Alola). The card says it evolves from Morelull. In this catalog that name is Morelull (#755).

kawayoo illustrated this card. The same name is on 209 other cards in the catalog.

Shiinotic (#756) has 7 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 6 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2024. The earliest other card is Shiinotic 17/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). Both list 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Mizue illustrated that card, and kawayoo illustrated this one. 3 other cards of Shiinotic list a different HP.

Illuminate is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may search your deck for a Fairy Pokémon, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck. The attack Flickering Spores lists 30 damage. The cost is Fairy, Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Asleep. Weakness is Metal ×2. Resistance is Darkness -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Forests where Shiinotic live are treacherous to enter at night. People confused by its strange lights can never find their way home again."

I keep a set binder for Ultra Prism, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Ultra Prism set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Shiinotic can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). I still need this card.
