Giratina V 185/196 · Lost Origin

Lost Origin is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 9 September 2022. The printed size is 196. This checklist is longer, at 217 cards. Giratina V is 185/196, in position 185 of 217 on this checklist. Before it is 184 Galarian Perrserker V, and after it is 186 Giratina V. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

Giratina V is a Basic V Dragon Pokémon with 220 HP. In the Pokédex this is Giratina (#487), generation 4 (Sinnoh).

N-DESIGN Inc. illustrated this card. The same name is on 68 other cards in the catalog.

Giratina (#487) has 29 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2023. The earliest other card is Giratina LV.X DP38/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Giratina LV.X, while this one is Giratina V. That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 220 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Ultra. Shizurow illustrated that card, and N-DESIGN Inc. illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 26 other cards of Giratina list a different HP.

The attack Abyss Seeking lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Look at the top 4 cards of your deck and put 2 of them into your hand. Put the other cards in the Lost Zone. Shred is another attack lists 160 damage. The cost is Grass, Psychic, Colorless. This attack's damage isn't affected by any effects on your opponent's Active Pokémon. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is F.

I keep a set binder for Lost Origin, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Lost Origin set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Giratina can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. I still need this card.
