Giratina VSTAR GG69/70 · Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery

Giratina is Pokédex #487, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Giratina VSTAR is a VSTAR Dragon Pokémon with 280 HP. The card says it evolves from Giratina V. In this catalog that name is Giratina (#487).

Giratina VSTAR sits at GG69/70 in Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery, position 69 of 70. Before it is GG68 Origin Forme Dialga VSTAR, and after it is GG70 Arceus VSTAR. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 20 January 2023. The printed size is 70, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare Secret.

The attack Lost Impact lists 280 damage. The cost is Grass, Psychic, Colorless. Put 2 Energy attached to your Pokémon in the Lost Zone. Star Requiem is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Grass, Psychic. You can use this attack only if you have 10 or more cards in the Lost Zone. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is Knocked Out. (You can't use more than 1 VSTAR Power in a game.) Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: VSTAR rule: When your Pokémon VSTAR is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is F.

Giratina (#487) has 29 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2022. The earliest other card is Giratina LV.X DP38/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Giratina LV.X, while this one is Giratina VSTAR. That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 280 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Secret. Shizurow illustrated that card, and AKIRA EGAWA illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 26 other cards of Giratina list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads AKIRA EGAWA. I count 83 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery set binder is where a full Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Giratina can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. I still need this card.
