Carnivine 5/113 · Legendary Treasures

Carnivine is Pokédex #455, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Carnivine is a Basic Grass Pokémon with 80 HP.

Carnivine sits at 5/113 in Legendary Treasures, position 5 of 140. Before it is 4 Cherubi, and after it is 6 Snivy. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on November 6, 2013. The printed size is 113. This checklist is longer, at 140 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Ambush Bite lists 20+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 20 more damage and discard an Energy attached to the Defending Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Water -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Using its tentacles to lash itself to trees, it lies in wait for prey, luring it close with sweet-smelling drool."

Carnivine (#455) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Carnivine 21/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Uncommon. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and HiRON illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 10 other cards of Carnivine list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads HiRON. I count 12 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Legendary Treasures set binder is where a full Legendary Treasures set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Carnivine can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
